Having Sophia home for Christmas was such a joy! For years we dreamed of what it would be like to have a child at home during the Christmas season and we loved celebrating the birth of our Savior with Sophie.
Sophia opened so many presents. She was given lots of wonderful things and we are very grateful! My sister made her the cutest outfit. Everyone loved it and so did we! Thank you, Aunt Amy!

This picture was taken of Michael and I during Christmas 2009 and we included it in a baby photo album we sent to Sophie.
This is a picture of her in Ethiopia, taken on January 20, 2010, with the photo album. What a difference a year makes!
Merry Christmas!

Hi Katie and Michael, I loved your blog :)
My husband and I have started the process to adopt. We are going through Bethany Christian Services. Through Bethany it cost $20,500.00, and we are in stage 2 of it, we are getting ready to start the part with the home study part soon, as soon as we pay that part.
I like the Bethany Christian Services because you pay in installments.
If at all possible can you give me any information on adoption? We are doing a open to semi open domestic infant adoption, where the birthmother picks us.
I would really like it if you can check out our blog too and please spread the word.
We are doing a lot of fundraising right now too. So far I have done eBay, bake sales, and now we are needing to get a little more into the fund raising part a little deeper.
God placed this on my husband and I, and we are super excited, but I am feeling like I am getting now where with the fund raising. Can you give me some tips too?
Thank you, and blessings to you and your family :)
